Matt Farr

Matt Farr has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Matt is currently working as the Senior Director of Operations for the Protolabs Network. Prior to this, they held positions at Hubs, where they served as the Senior Director of Operations and the Director of Project Operations, among other roles. At Hubs, they managed key accounts, onboarded new companies, and supported manufacturing projects across various production methods. Before joining Hubs, Matt worked at Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd. as part of the Technical Procurement team, where they achieved significant cost reductions through supplier negotiation and strategic planning. Matt also worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham, where they contributed to the development of high-performance recycled bonded magnets. Overall, Matt has a strong background in operations, procurement, and research and development.

Matt Farr has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Sport and Materials Science from the University of Birmingham, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Matt also has a Master of Research degree in Science & Engineering of Materials from the same institution, which they completed between 2011 and 2013. Matt Farr further pursued their education at the University of Birmingham and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Science from 2013 to 2017. Prior to attending university, they attended Loreto College from 2005 to 2007 and Chorlton High School from 2000 to 2005.
