Diane Green is the Vice President of ProtoLytic and the Principal and Consultant at MD Consulting Group, LLC. She is responsible for creating requirements for ProtoLytic. She is a recognized subject matter expert in workers’ compensation Utilization Review and URAC accreditation. She has spent 30+ years in healthcare, starting her career in the United States Navy Nurse Corps where her clinical focus included general medicine and outpatient surgery.
Diane gained her first managed care experience as the Clinical Manager of three staff model HMO multi-specialty practices where she experienced UR from the provider perspective. She began her workers’ compensation and URAC journey when she joined a large, national group health carrier and their newly created workers’ compensation division as a UR Nurse, eventually becoming a UR Supervisor, a UR Manager, and finally a Regional Director after relocating to open a National Utilization Review and Case Management department serving national workers’ compensation insurers and employers.
Diane moved on to the Property and Casualty industry where she held various senior positions with two large, national workers’ compensation carriers and gained valuable experience on the use of clinical resources and products to manage the medical aspect of claims, contain medical and overall claim costs, and demonstrate measurable value to the claim.
Diane joined Ascential Care Partners in 2015 and has been instrumental in developing Ascential Care’s Utilization Review program and product, securing and maintaining URAC WCUM accreditation, filing and maintaining the California UR plan as well as other state filings and certifications allowing Ascential Care to conduct UR nationally.
Diane is a Registered Nurse and holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing as well as a master’s degree in healthcare management.
