Phil Verey has had a long and successful career in the tech and energy sectors. In 2004, they began working as an Analyst for the Energy Data Team at Bloomberg New Energy Finance. Phil then moved up to Senior Associate, Business Development, and then Manager, Business Development - Asia. In 2014, they took on the role of Development Director at Finance for Resilience (FiRe). In 2015, they became an Investment Consultant at EMV Capital Ltd, where they worked on valuations and due diligence for investment opportunities, managed existing portfolio companies, and helped to increase deal flow. From 2016 to 2020, they were the Commercial Director at Winnow Ltd, a hardware-enabled SaaS business that develops digital tools to help commercial kitchens cut food waste. Most recently, in 2020, they became the VP, Commercial Operations at Collectiv Food, a VC-backed business radically transforming the way food is accessed and distributed within cities. In 2022, they began working as the Managing Director at Provenance, a B2B2C SaaS business that helps brands and retailers share credible, compelling and fact-checked social and environmental impact information at the point of sale.
Phil Verey attended the University of Bristol from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages. In 2014, they completed an Executive MBA at the London Business School, with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General. In 2015, they participated in an International Exchange Program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
