Miguel Sanjuan has a successful and diverse work experience in the field of health sciences. Miguel is currently a Senior Vice President for Research and Early Development at Provention Bio, a Sanofi Company, where they have been working since October 2021. Prior to that, they held the same position at Provention Bio from 2021 to April 2023.
Before joining Provention Bio, Miguel founded Sanjuan Enterprises, a family-owned company dedicated to health sciences, in July 2021.
Miguel also served as the VP Head of Translational Biology at Gossamer Bio from June 2020 to July 2021.
From 2017 to 2020, Miguel worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb as the Head of Oncology Discovery Biology, LVL site.
Miguel also gained valuable experience at AstraZeneca, where they worked as an Associate Director from 2009 to 2017.
Miguel's earlier experience includes positions at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as a Staff Scientist from 2005 to 2009, as well as at Johnson & Johnson as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Drug Discovery from 2002 to 2005.
Miguel began their career at the National Center for Biotechnology as a Postdoctoral Fellow from 1997 to 2002, and prior to that, they were a PhD student at the same institution from 1997 to 2001.
Miguel Sanjuan pursued their education in the field of biology. Miguel first attended the Universidad de Sevilla from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Subsequently, they enrolled at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from 1997 to 2001, where they earned their PhD in Molecular Biology and Immunology.
