Marcus Smith

Marcus Smith has extensive experience in education, currently serving as the Upper School English Chair and Director of Teaching Fellows at Providence Day School since August 2018. Prior to this role, Marcus taught English at Pomfret School from August 2014 to June 2017 and at Saint Joseph Prep from September 2013 to August 2014. In addition to a robust teaching career, Marcus has a background in the music industry, having held positions as Executive Producer at Sound Lounge Music and Sound Design and Siblings Music, as well as an Analyst and A&R Administration at Universal Motown Records Group. Marcus holds a Bachelor's degree in English from Wesleyan University and a Master's degree in Theological Studies with a focus on Theology and Literature from Harvard University.
