Alec Stais

Alec Stais is an experienced financial professional currently serving as Chief Investment Officer at Providence Health & Services since May 2020. Previously, Stais held the position of Chief Investment Officer at the Rhode Island Department of Treasury from May 2017 to May 2020. Prior to that, Stais was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management from January 2004 to April 2017, having also served as Vice President at the same firm from 1996 to 2003. Earlier career experience includes serving as Vice President at MetLife from 1986 to 1996 and as an Actuarial Assistant at Equitable Life from 1982 to 1984.
