Michael Schurr

Michael Schurr is a highly experienced trauma surgeon currently serving at Mission Hospital since 2015. As the Chief Medical Officer and Founder of Imbed Biosciences Inc since 2008, Michael has played a pivotal role in medical innovation. Previously, Michael held the position of Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program at the Mountain Area Health Education Center from July 2017 to July 2023. Michael's career includes significant roles as a Burn and Trauma Surgeon at the University of Colorado Denver and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as a Trauma Surgeon at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Michael holds multiple Doctor of Medicine degrees from Duke University, the University of Cincinnati, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
