Luke Breen has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Starting in 2012, they worked at LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services, where they held various roles such as Specimen Management Technician, Equipment Specialist, Supervisor of Logistics, and Manager of Mobile Labs Collection Services. In these roles, Luke displayed strong leadership skills and successfully managed day-to-day operations and transportation requests. In 2017, they also worked at the British Columbia Institute of Technology as both an MSDS Inventory Editor and Technical Staff member in Medical Laboratory Science. Luke's most recent position was at the Provincial Health Services Authority, where they served as the Lead of Strategy Management and Innovation starting in 2023.

Luke also holds certifications in first aid, laboratory ergonomics, laboratory assessment of thyroid function, OHSA electrical safety, OHSA hazard communication, and chemical hygiene from MediaLab, Inc., acquired in 2017.
