Briar Turvey

Briar Turvey has a notable work experience in the recruitment and talent acquisition sector. In 2014, they started their career as a Recruitment Consultant at Recruit NZ Limited, where they also held an unpaid Recruitment Intern role. In 2016, they moved to OraHQ as a Talent Sourcing Specialist on a contract basis. Unfortunately, the business closed. In 2017, they joined EIMS as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for the APAC region, where their work life balance suffered due to 16 hour days. In 2018, they moved to Auckland DHB as a Recruitment Consultant, a strategic move to obtain a HR focused position. However, they were made redundant from Digital Data Systems Ltd (DDS IT) the same year. In 2021, they joined Lancom Technology as a Talent Recruiter, and in 2022, they became a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Provoke Solutions. Prior to this, they had worked as a Bank Teller at ANZ since 2007.

Briar Turvey attended Rangitoto College from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained their NCEA-level 3. They then went on to the University of Auckland from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Geography.
