Rob van Haaren

Rob van Haaren is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy and technology sectors, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Proximal Energy, where Rob is spearheading the introduction of "Agentic Asset Management" in the utility-scale solar and energy storage industry. As an Expert in Residence at BRITE Energy Innovators and Treasurer for The Banks-Baldwin Foundation, Rob provides guidance to startups on various aspects of business development. Rob has also been an AI Consultant for renewables, co-founded Prophit.ai to develop machine learning solutions for tax decision making, and held leadership roles at Divvy Power LLC and CoverrMe.com, focusing on sustainable solutions and crowdfunding platforms. Previous experience includes significant contributions at First Solar in developing PV + Storage product offerings and conducting research at Columbia University. Rob holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Columbia University, along with a Master’s Degree in Earth and Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Innovation Sciences from Eindhoven University of Technology.
