Brian Lucid

Brian Lucid has worked in the design field since 1995. Brian was an Art Director at Sequel Communications from 1995 to 2001, and then a Professor of Design at the Massachusetts College Of Art and Design from 2001 to 2010. From 2010 to 2015, they worked as a Senior User Experience Designer at Proximity Lab. Since 2015, they have been the Head of Ngā Pae Māhutonga - Wellington School of Design and a Professor of Interaction Design at Massey University. Additionally, since 1995, they have been a Design Consultant for various clients, including Harvard University, The Isabella Stuart Gardener Museum, The Barbarian Group, Solidworks, uPromise, and Trinity Communications.

Brian Lucid completed their BFA in Design from Rhode Island School of Design in 1995. Brian then went on to receive their MFA in Design from the same school in 2002. In 2017, they attended Harvard Law School Executive Education for the Program on Negotiation. In 2019, they completed the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education (MLE) from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
