Kris Pitta

Kris Pitta serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Prudent Resources LLC. Kris is an experienced professional in the oil and gas industry specializing in Business Development and Asset Management. He graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Andhra University. From there, he pursued a M.S. in Petroleum Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology and MBA from the Cornell University.

Since the launch of his career fifteen years ago, Kris has held various positions with increasing responsibility at companies such as Occidental Petroleum, ConocoPhillips and Freeport Mcmoran. Kris’s first responsibility as a Reservoir Engineer at Oxy was to take care of newly acquired PXP properties in New Mexico. He went on to manage assets in Permian Basin, South Texas, and Williston Basin. He also worked as a member of the growth/A&D team, where he evaluated acquisition/divestiture/trade opportunities in the Lower48. He then progressed to ConocoPhillips to assist them with the strategic planning efforts of their DJ basin Niobrara asset drilling program. Eighteen months later, Kris accepted the role of Corporate Engineering Manager at Freeport Mcmoran Oil and Gas Division. He was responsible for managing entire companies reserves estimates. He resides in Houston with his wife and two daughters.
