Sami El Smaili

Sami El Smaili is a Senior Research Engineer at Pryon since January 2023. Prior to joining Pryon, they worked at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer 2 from April 2019 to January 2023, and as a Software Development Engineer from October 2017 to April 2019. Before Amazon, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Kyruus from February 2017 to October 2017, and a Software Engineer from January 2015 to February 2017.

Sami El Smaili pursued their education in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Sami first attended the American University of Beirut from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree. Sami then enrolled at Rice University, where they furthered their studies and completed their Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2008 to 2012. Sami continued their academic journey at Rice University and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2012 to 2017.
