Jimmy Liu

Jimmy Liu is a seasoned Project Lead and Senior Engineer at Prysmian Group since November 2006, where expertise lies in planning, designing, and conducting projects to innovate and enhance products across various cable types. Liu’s accomplishments include leading the development of semiconductive, insulation, and jacket compounds, driving significant cost reduction initiatives, and fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams to identify new product opportunities. Noteworthy past roles include Lead Engineer and Process Engineer at Salmon Arm Plastics Ltd. and Alcoa CSI respectively, alongside establishing a radiation-chemical laboratory at the Tianjin Institute of Technical Physics. Liu holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering from Tianjin University of Science & Technology.
