Shawn Megathlin

Shawn Megathlin is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in compliance and regulatory matters within the mortgage and financial services industries. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at PSECU since August 2023, Shawn collaborates with the RG&L Team on lending initiatives and addresses daily legal issues related to lending activities. Prior roles include General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Homespire Mortgage, where responsibilities encompassed ensuring compliance with mortgage laws and overseeing vendor management, and Associate General Counsel-Mortgage at Celebrity Home Loans, managing a licensing team and regulatory compliance efforts. Shawn's earlier experience includes positions at Trident Mortgage Company, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, M&M Consulting, and Bank of America, contributing to a comprehensive background in regulatory compliance and legal oversight. Shawn holds a JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Middlebury College.
