Alice Muntzer

Principal Scientist at Psioxus Therapeutics

Alice Muntzer has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Alice started their career as a Student Intern at BBSRC in 2014. From 2017 to 2020, Alice worked as a Scientist II at Akamis Bio, where they were responsible for leading research concept projects, directing the engineering of viral vectors, and assisting with pre-clinical primary cell studies. Alice then served as a Senior Scientist at Akamis Bio from 2020 to 2022, where they directed the generation of viral vectors, developed novel biomarker assays for clinical testing, and led the generation of new concepts. Currently, Alice holds the position of Principal Scientist at Akamis Bio, where they lead a concept project developing antibody fragment combinations and assay development for clinical sample testing. Alice also acts as a key point of contact for cross-functional teams and provides line management to a team of researchers.

Alice Muntzer's education history begins in 2008 when they enrolled in the University of Bristol. Alice pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, and completed their undergraduate studies in 2011.

Following their bachelor's degree, Alice attended the University of Bristol again in 2011. This time, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Parasitology for the duration of one year, ending in 2012.

Subsequently, Alice continued their academic journey at the University of Glasgow in 2012. Over a span of five years, until 2017, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Virology.
