Pascale Samson has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Pascale began their career at Chubb in 1992 as the Director of Excess Umbrella liability. Pascale managed a team, achieved significant revenue growth, and ensured excellent customer service.
From 1995 to 1999, they worked at Vidéotron as a Risk Manager, where they implemented a Corporate Risk Management unit, centralized insurance policies, and managed insurance claims.
Pascale then joined Bombardier Inc. in 1999 and served as the Director of Risk Management Europe & Asia from 2002 to 2004. Pascale built and coached a Risk Management team in Zurich, Switzerland, promoted Bombardier's risk vision, negotiated liability and indemnity clauses with customers, and enforced bond facilities.
From 2004 to 2013, they worked at BRP Inc. as the Manager of Risk Management and later as the Manager of Treasury. In these roles, they incorporated back office Treasury functions with Risk Management, oversaw electronic banking accessibility, led the strategic ERM exercise, obtained approval for proposed changes to the D&O insurance program, and negotiated lower insurance costs.
At AIG, from 2014 to 2017, they were the Director of Financial Lines Eastern Canada. Pascale rebuilt the Financial Products underwriting team, promoted the new team to increase market share, managed company reorganization, motivated employees, and led the launch of a new insurance policy in both official languages.
Currently, Pascale works at PSP Investments since 2018. Pascale started as the Director of Enterprise Risk Transfer Solutions and became the Senior Director in April 2021. Pascale'smain responsibilities include overseeing the Corporate insurance program and increasing comfort levels with transactions for the investments team.
Pascale Samson began their education at Jean-de-la-Mennais, where they completed their secondary education from 1978 to 1982. Pascale then attended College Marguerite-Bourgeoys from 1982 to 1984, earning a Diploma of College Studies in Pure and Applied Sciences.
Continuing their education, Samson enrolled at HEC Montréal from 1984 to 1987, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus in Finance, General.
In 1995, Samson attended the Global Risk Management Institute for two years, obtaining a Canadian Risk Management designation (CRM) in the field of Risk Management. Later, from 1997 to 1999, they pursued further studies at the International Risk Management Institute and earned the Fellow Risk Management (FRM) certification.
In terms of additional certifications, Samson became a RIMS Professional Member by joining the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. in April 2019. Pascale obtained this membership twice from the same institution in the same month and year.
