Aaron Tansy has extensive experience in the medical field, with a focus on clinical development. Aaron is currently serving as the Senior Medical Director of Clinical Development at PTC Therapeutics, Inc., a position they have held since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Medical Director of Clinical Development at Ovid Therapeutics from September 2019 to May 2021. From May 2017 to September 2019, Aaron worked as the Associate Director of Neuroscience and Pain at Teva Pharmaceuticals. Before transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry, they held academic roles at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens, serving as an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Director of the Primary Stroke Center from July 2013 to April 2017.
Aaron Tansy's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. Aaron then pursued a Medical degree (MD) at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. After that, they completed a Vascular Neurology Fellowship at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Currently, they are undertaking a Neurology Residency at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
