Eddy Tufford

Eddy Tufford, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Eddy is currently the Vice President of Human Resources at PTC Therapeutics, Inc., a position they have held since November 2020. Prior to this role, they served as the Executive Director of Human Resources at PTC Therapeutics from January 2017 to November 2020. Eddy also served as the Senior Director of Human Resources at PTC Therapeutics, where they were responsible for global compensation, from June 2016 to December 2016. Before joining PTC Therapeutics, Eddy worked at Terumo as a Senior Manager of Human Resources, providing generalist and employee relations support across multiple functional areas. Eddy also led HR project management and compensation functions during their time at Terumo. Prior to Terumo, Eddy worked at Pfizer (formerly King Pharmaceuticals) as a Senior Manager of Human Resources, where they served as a business partner for over 750 office- and field-based employees in the US and Canada. Eddy began their career at Biovail Pharmaceuticals as a Human Resources Manager. Eddy supported various departments and spearheaded HR aspects of multiple restructurings. Eddy's early experience includes an internship at Kato Engineering where they provided HR support to a unionized manufacturing population. Overall, Eddy Tufford has a wealth of experience in various HR roles, with a focus on business partnership, compensation, and restructuring initiatives.

Eddy Tufford, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, holds a Master's Degree in Industrial & Labor Relations with a focus on Human Resources from West Virginia University. Eddy also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from the same university. In addition to their degrees, Eddy has obtained certifications including Certified Strength Coach from Gallup, SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM, and Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI.
