Christian R. Muro received a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach in 2014. While in college, Mr. Muro volunteered for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles where he discovered the possibility of pursuing a career in law, fueling his passion and drive to empower the community by helping people with limited resources gain an equal footing in the law. After earning a certificate in legal studies and mediation, he volunteered for a non-profit mediation clinic in Orange County, CA helping modest means litigants resolve disputes in small claims court through court sponsored mediation. Mr. Muro moved to Oregon to attend law school and realize his dream of helping indigent individuals as an attorney. While in law school, he served as a managing editor for the Social Justice and Equity Law Journal, and clerked for the Oregon Department of Justice. He received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Willamette University College of Law in 2018 and was admitted to the Oregon Bar in May 2019. Mr. Muro joined Public Defender of Marion County in May 2019.
