Poorani Ramachandran P.e.

Poorani Ramachandran, P.E. is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Director of the Office of Technical and Regulatory Analysis at the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia since July 2017, previously holding roles as Chief of the Office of Infrastructure and System Planning and Senior Electrical Engineer. Prior to this, Poorani contributed to Schneider Electric as a Senior Power System Engineer and Regional Power Systems Engineer, as well as working at Eaton Corporation as a Power System Engineer, focusing on power system studies, project management, and NEC compliance. Early career experience includes an Associate Engineer position at National Grid, where Poorani developed a reliability optimization program and supported asset planning studies. Poorani holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering - Power Systems from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Periyar University.
