Holly Hurley has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Holly started their career at Magna International as an EHS Coordinator before moving on to Showa Canada Inc as a Safety Specialist. At Showa Canada, they were responsible for managing the Disability Management program and facilitating the Early and Safe Return to Work Program. Holly then joined Labatt Breweries of Canada, where they held various roles such as Zone Environment and Safety Specialist and Senior People & Mgmt. Supply Manager. In these roles, they performed compliance audits, ensured corporate program compliance, and developed training programs. Holly later joined Masco Canada as a Human Resources Manager, Senior Manager of People Operations and Safety, and Director of Talent and People Operations. Currently, they are working at Public Services Health & Safety Association as the Director of Employee Experience and HR.

Holly Hurley obtained a Certificate in Human Resources Management from York University in 2020-2021. Holly also holds an Ergonomics Coordinator Certificate from the University of Fredericton from 2010-2011. In 2007, they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Safety Engineering Technology from the College of the North Atlantic. Holly's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Memorial University of Newfoundland, which they obtained from 2001-2005. Additionally, they have a certification as a CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) from the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals.
