Carrie First

Carrie First has extensive experience in technical theatre, currently serving as Assistant Technical Director, Lead Carpenter, and Carpenter at The Public Theater since December 2016. Prior roles include Lead Carpenter and Carpenter at Signature Theatre Company from September 2016 to July 2019, and Carpenter at Mind The Gap, Inc. between August 2016 and 2019. Carrie also held the position of Scene Shop Supervisor at Williamstown Theatre Festival in June 2016, alongside various carpentry roles at the same festival in previous summers. Additional experience includes work as a Theater Technician at the College of Charleston and carpentry roles at Spoleto Festival USA and Williamstown Theatre Festival. Carrie First earned a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from the College of Charleston in 2016.
