Carl Pritzkat is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the publishing and digital media sectors. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and President of BookLife at Publishers Weekly since January 2019, Pritzkat also holds the title of Vice President at PWxyz, LLC, overseeing business development and digital operations. Previous roles include Founding Partner and Principal at Mediapolis, Inc., where strategic consulting and product development were key responsibilities. Pritzkat has held significant positions in the music industry as Label Director for ECM Records and in the film industry as Assistant to General Counsel at Orion Pictures Corporation. Pritzkat began a career in education as a long-term substitute teacher at Redondo Union High School after earning a BFA in music from UCLA.
