Prior to that, they worked at Novellus Systems Inc as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, focused on developing capital equipment for chemical vapor deposition and etching.

Mike began their professional career at Space Systems/Loral, where they worked as a Senior Research and Development Engineer for four years.
