Alex Wood

Alex Wood joined Pure Gym in 2018 as Chief Financial Officer. His responsibilities include leadership of the finance, property acquisition and development activities of the business. Mr. Wood was previously CFO and Acting CEO of Gala Bingo, and co-led a management buy-out of the business from Gala Coral Group in December 2015. Prior to this, Mr. Wood was M&A Director at Gala Coral Group and worked for over 12 years at KPMG where he led their East Midlands and Gaming Sector Corporate Finance businesses. Mr. Wood qualified as a Chartered Accountant during his time at KPMG and holds a 1st class master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham.
