Sushma Vasudevan

Sushma Vasudevan is the Vice President of Data Science & Analytics at PureSpectrum. Sushma has over thirteen years of experience in data analytics and management.

Sushma started their career as a Consultant at GE Capital. After a year, they joined IBM as the Manager of Market Development and Insights. During their seven years at IBM, they led and mentored a team of 8 analysts, managed 15+ quantitative analytics projects, and monitored digital marketing campaigns for 200K internal customers with a multimillion-dollar budget. Sushma also performed predictive analytics and built data models for Client Advocacy. Furthermore, they trained implementation leads on service customization, survey implementation, and data gathering procedures.

Some of their notable achievements include: adopting the Agile approach, managing multiple projects as program manager and Scrum master, identifying 20K new accounts by building segmentation models using clustering techniques in SPSS, building regression models to analyze and predict customer behavior, allocating marketing efforts optimally, automating and optimizing the enhancement process, reducing it from 3 weeks to 3 days, and increasing search efficiency by integrating Watson technologies into content and search.

Sushma Vasudevan has a Master of Science in Econometrics, Forecast modeling and Financial Economics from California Lutheran University, an MBA in Finance from University of Wales, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. Sushma Vasudevan also has certifications from Cognitive Class.ai in Machine Learning with Python and Data Analysis with Python, IBM in Python for Data Science, Agile Explorer, and IBM Design Thinking Practitioner, and the International Institute of Forecasters as a Certified Forecaster.
