Derek McKenney

Derek McKenney serves as the Director of Engineering at Puritan Medical Products Co. since October 2016, overseeing corporate and site-level engineering across facilities in Maine and Tennessee, focusing on manufacturing support, capacity expansion, process validation, continuous improvement, and project management. McKenney played a key role as Project Manager for COVID Response, leading engineering efforts for the design and construction of two COVID swab manufacturing facilities, which involved over $144 million in capital expenditure. Previously, McKenney held positions at BD, contributing to continuous improvement and process validation across global manufacturing sites. McKenney holds a Master of Business Administration from Maine Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine.
