Ildi Revi has a long and varied work experience. Ildi began her career in 1989 as the Head of Math and Science Department and Teacher at Manjolo Secondary School. In 1992, while finishing her Master's degree, held the role of Assistant to the President at Jonamay Lambert & Associates, and she also worked as a Workforce Education Specialist at Northeastern Illinois University. In 1993, she became the Director of Education at Howard Area Community Center (HACC), where she founded an alternative high school within the Cucago Public School system. In 1996 she returned to Africa as a Workplace Education Consultant at the Universidade Católica de Moçambique, helping develop the business department and consulting for several commercial agriculture enterprises, including coffee. She lived and worked on a coffee farm from 1998 until 2014, while simultaneously founding a coffee roasting and retail operation in the U.S. in 2004, Leopard Forest Coffee Company, Inc., where she was President until 2016. During this period she became involved in the Specialty Coffee Association of America in the role of Education Manager (2011-2016), designing the initial certificate programs for barista, brewing, roasting, green buying and coffee tasting.
Starting in 2016, she transitioned out of LFC and held roles at Ally Coffee and Purity Coffee. At Ally Coffee, she was the Director of Performance and currently holds the role of Performance Consultant. At Purity Coffee, she is the Chief Coffee Officer. Additionally, she has been a licensed Q Arabica Grader since 2011 and Q Instructor since 2018.
Ildi Revi earned a Master's degree in Adult Education- Workplace Learning/Organizational Development from National Louis University from 1991 to 1993. Ildi earned her BA in History from The University of Texas at Austin from 1984 to 1988. Additionally, she obtained a Specialty Coffee Diploma from the Specialty Coffee Association in October 2018, a PCQI Certificate from Michigan State University in April 2018, a PCQI Certified + 3rd Party Auditor from Kestrel Management in August 2016, and a CPT from the International Society for Performance Improvement in June 2004 (she remains a current CPT).
