Nick Calvert

Nick Calvert has a diverse work experience in various scientific and data-related roles. Nick is currently working at Purple as a Data Science Lead. Previously, they worked at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust as a Senior Research Scientist, Rapiscan Systems as a Research Scientist, and UCL SECReT as a PhD and M.Res student. Nick also has experience as an X-Ray Imaging Scientist/Engineer at Rapiscan Systems and as a Graduate Intern at the University of Manchester & Tracerco. Their work has involved data analysis, research, simulation work using various software, image reconstruction techniques, and commissioning systems.

Nick Calvert earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Radiation Physics from UCL, which they pursued from 2012 to 2016. Prior to this, they completed an MRes degree in Physics also at UCL from 2011 to 2012. Their undergraduate studies were at The University of Manchester, where they obtained an M.Math in Maths from 2005 to 2009.
