Nick Abstoss has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Nick is currently the Vice President of Product Management and Engineering at Purple Carrot since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Saks Fifth Avenue as the Director of Product Management from November 2021 to February 2023. At Saks Fifth Avenue, they created and implemented a build/buy strategy and reduced costs by 20% through managing software development, UX, and product.

Before joining Saks Fifth Avenue, Nick Abstoss had a long tenure at Amazon. Nick held various roles including Head of Product Management for Amazon Pharmacy, Head of Product Management for Kindle Direct Publishing, Senior Product Manager for Publishing Tools at Kindle Direct Publishing, and Senior Product Manager for Distribution and Partnerships at Createspace.com.

At Amazon, they launched a HIPAA-compliant workflow service for Amazon Pharmacy and scaled it as a SaaS to other health initiatives. Nick also led the growth of global Independent Publishing content creation services, shipping numerous customer features and improvements. Additionally, they were responsible for the migration of a 1M+ user and 5M SKU business platform, unlocking selection and margin growth.

Prior to their time at Amazon, Nick Abstoss worked as a Principal Consultant at Kinetik Partners, where they authored an Offshore Wind economic and growth strategy plan for the state of Maryland. Nick also worked as a Student Consultant for Southern Company and DTE Energy, focusing on renewable energy investment and financial analysis.

Earlier in their career, Nick Abstoss held roles at the University of Michigan Health System, Detroit Lions, and AI Steel Holding, Inc. Nick conducted analysis for pharmaceutical manufacturing facility acquisition, worked as a student consultant, and led business development and logistics for international steel trade.

Throughout their career, Nick Abstoss has demonstrated expertise in product management, strategy, business development, and operations across multiple industries.

Nick Abstoss completed their BA degree at Colgate University. Nick then pursued further education and obtained an MS degree in Environmental Sciences - Sustainable Systems from the University of Michigan - School for Environment and Sustainability. Additionally, they earned an MBA degree from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, with a specialization in Sustainable Energy Systems, Operations Management, and Strategy.
