Barry Gough

Barry Gough has a diverse work experience spanning from 2000 to the present. Barry started their career as a Network Engineer/System Administrator at Midia Ltd. from 2000 to 2004. Following that, they worked as a Technical Support Engineer at UPS in 2005 and as a Computer Technician at Kings Inns Record and Data Management from 2006 to 2010.

In 2011, Barry joined Fluid Ink Ltd. as a Software Engineer before moving on to become a Senior Mobile App Developer at Ammeon from 2013 to 2016. During this time, they developed native mobile apps using Android Studio and gained experience in MVVM architecture, Dagger/Hilt for dependency injection, Jetpack Compose for UI, and Room database for persistence.

Barry then joined Purpledecks in 2016 and took on the role of Senior Mobile App Developer. In this position, they continued working on native mobile app development and was involved in transitioning projects to MVVM architecture.

Most recently, Barry has started working at Purpledecks as the Head of Operations from August 2021. Additionally, they are set to become the Chief Technology Officer at Reactable AI starting in April 2023.

Barry Gough completed their education in the field of Computer Science. In 2010, they enrolled at University College Dublin to pursue a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, which they completed in 2011.
