Nia Simone Satterfield Brown

Nia Simone Satterfield Brown is a driven professional with a diverse background in sports journalism, administration, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Currently serving as a Diversity, Equity and Impact Intern at Wasserman, Nia supports the DE&I team with programming and resource development. Nia is also a Peer Financial Coach at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and hosts the Beyond the Game Sports Podcast, which aims to amplify athlete narratives. Additional experiences include reporting for Carolina Blitz, presiding over the Carolina Association of Black Journalists, and holding various roles within the New York Yankees and SLAM. Nia is pursuing a BA in Sports Journalism and Sports Administration at UNC Chapel Hill, complemented by extensive international studies and internships designed to enhance strategic consulting skills and operational knowledge.
