Mark Gray has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. Mark started their career as an Information Technology applications support specialist at Angelo State University, where they maintained and updated applications across the campus and managed server upgrades. Mark then worked as a website developer at MedHab, where they maintained the retail website and developed new technologies for the company. At The University of Texas at Austin, they served as a software and web developer for the Law Library, maintaining their web presence and integrating web applications with library software systems. Mark also had a cybersecurity internship at BP, where they assisted in supporting the Security Operation Center and developed an active threat map using Splunk and JavaScript API. Mark worked as a graduate teaching assistant at the Department of Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin. Later, they joined Rev as a software engineer, where they developed software to increase company productivity and efficiency. Mark subsequently became an engineering manager and senior engineering manager at Rev, leading teams, coaching and providing guidance to engineers, and launching mobile applications. Mark then joined Vinovest as a lead engineer, working full stack on mobile, web, backend, and infrastructure to bring new features to clients. Mark implemented OAuth deposit flows in Android and iOS applications, migrated a legacy web application to a new codebase, and managed deployments. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Software Engineering at Pushnami.
Mark Gray obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Angelo State University from 2010 to 2013. Mark then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin from 2014 to 2015.
