Software Development Engineer II at Pushpay

Mateo Vargas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Mateo currently works at Pushpay as a Software Development Engineer II since January 2022. Prior to that, they were a Software Developer from July 2021 to January 2022 with an undisclosed company.

From 2018 to 2021, Mateo worked at Union Bank as a Software Engineer. In this role, they developed automation software for the Regional Banking department using Kapow Automation software suite, MySQL, and Javascript. Mateo also held responsibilities such as gathering requirements from stakeholders, communicating project details, and collaborating with different lines of business.

In 2015, Mateo gained experience as a Jr. Network Engineer at The Core Group, where they provided technical support both on-site and remotely for clients. Mateo also interacted closely with clients to understand their needs and concerns.

Mateo's earliest work experience was at Pomerado Hospital in 2008, where they worked as a Receptionist, answering calls, recording visitors, and directing them to the correct departments.

Mateo Vargas completed their Master's Degree in Computer Science from The University of Edinburgh from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego, which they pursued from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Mateo has also earned two certifications. In April 2018, they completed "The Coding Boot Camp in Web Development Methods" from UC San Diego Extension. More recently, in May 2021, they obtained the "Overcoming Imposter Syndrome" certification from LinkedIn.
