Sheila Patterson

Sheila Patterson, PhD, has extensive experience in the field of veterinary pathobiology and microbiology, with a career at the University of Illinois spanning over two decades. Notable positions include Research Associate in the Division of Microbiology & Veterinary Diagnostic Lab, focusing on molecular assay development, as well as multiple roles as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate, examining streptococcal pathogenesis and antibiotic resistance. Earlier experience includes a Research Specialist position concentrating on E. coli and Salmonella pathogenesis, alongside laboratory management. Sheila Patterson holds a PhD in Veterinary Pathobiology and a BS in Microbiology, both obtained from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
