Ian Austin

Ian Austin has a strong background in cybersecurity and innovation. Ian founded Pwned Labs in 2023, and previously held roles at Hack The Box, NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE), and ASHMORE GROUP PLC. At Hack The Box, Ian served as Head of Innovation, Head of Content Innovation, and Head of Content Development. Ian also participated in the Green Team - Locked Shields program at NATO CCDCOE. Ian began their career at ASHMORE GROUP PLC, where they worked as a Sysadmin, Security Engineer, and Penetration Tester.

Ian Austin attended The Open University from 2009 to 2016, where they studied IT & Computing and Psychology (Honours). Their field of study was Information Technology.
