Dave Cotter

Dave Cotter has a long and varied work history. Dave began their career in 1987 as the Director of Technical Support for Storage Technology Corporation STK. In this role, they created a worldwide technical support organization and initiated the Customer Services Council to coordinate service delivery. Dave also successfully achieved ISO9000 certification. In 1994, they became the Director of IT Operations for Storage Technology Corporation. In this role, they handled all hardware, software, and application support of all Mainframe and Open Systems for a $2B Company with 10,000 employees in 39 countries. Dave also personally managed a staff of 100 and a budget of $100M, and successfully created and implemented an SAP ERP system for finance, manufacturing, and customer service. In 2000, they started their own business, Cotter Consulting, as an Executive Storage Consultant. Here, they focused on Information Life Cycle Management (ILM) involving storage networking solutions, SAN and NAS architecture, design, and implementations. In 2005, they joined IoDynamix as an Account Manager, specializing in Tape, Disk, SAN, NAS, Tiered-Storage, ILM, Virtualization, Compliance and Backup solutions. Finally, in 2013, they joined Pycube Inc as a Sales Account Manager, specializing in Data Storage, Networking and Virtualization solutions from EMC, CISCO, MICROSOFT, VMWARE AND ORACLE.

Dave Cotter's education history includes a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Science from the University of Phoenix, obtained between 1989 and 1994, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the University of Phoenix, obtained between 1987 and 1992. Dave also holds certifications from Cisco, EMC, Nexsan by Imation, Overland Storage, VMware, Veeam Software, and Citrix.
