Sylvain Corlay

Sylvain Corlay is the Chief Executive Officer of QuantStack since June 2016, leading a team involved in major open-source projects used globally, including Jupyter and Apache Arrow. As a Software Steering Council Member for Project Jupyter and a Board Member of NumFOCUS, Sylvain contributes to the advancement of open-source scientific computing. Sylvain organizes the PyData Paris conference and meets actively with the Paris chapter of the PyData community, which boasts over 4,500 members. Previous roles include quantitative researcher at Bloomberg, adjunct professorships at several prestigious universities, and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Pierre and Marie Curie University. Teaching experience includes various mathematics and computer science tutorials at ENS Cachan.
