Binyam Dereje

Binyam Dereje has been working in the DevOps engineering field since 2015. Starting at Gebeya Inc., they were involved in multiple projects and used Jenkins as a CI tool. In 2017, they moved to JSI | John Snow, Inc. as a Sr. System & Network Administrator, where they planned and implemented ICT infrastructure plans/deployments. From 2012 to 2017, they also worked at USAID | DELIVER PROJECT, JSI, where they performed tasks such as maintaining and administering Local Area Network (LAN), configuring network devices, and troubleshooting software and hardware problems. In 2019, they worked at both Dollaride and EnterpriseCore as a DevOps Engineer, where they built CI/CD pipelines and set up Kubernetes clusters. Currently, they are working at Pypestream as a DevOps Engineer, where they apply Infrastructure as a Code, Terraform, to provision company infrastructure on AWS & GCP and automates the deployment of Applications.

Binyam Dereje has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Addis Ababa University, which they obtained between 2006 and 2011. Binyam also obtained a Certificate in DevOps Engineering from Gebeya Inc. in 2017. Additionally, they have obtained a number of certifications from various institutions, including Udemy, Coursera, Microsoft, and The Linux Foundation.
