Calvin Banks

Calvin Banks has a strong background in training and development within the hospitality industry. Calvin is currently working as the Senior Vice President of People Development and Culture at Pyramid Global Hospitality, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Training and Development at the same company starting in September 2021 until January 2023.

Before joining Pyramid Global Hospitality, Banks worked at BENCHMARK, A Global Hospitality Company as the Vice President of Training and Development from August 2021 to June 2022, and as the Director of Training and Development from August 2015 to August 2021.

Their previous experiences include serving as the Director of Training at The Broadmoor from March 2013 to August 2015, and at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center from December 2007 to March 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Training Manager at Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center from July 2004 to December 2007.

Banks began their career at Six Flags Theme Parks, where they held various roles from 1996 to 2004. Overall, Calvin Banks has a diverse and extensive background in training and development within the hospitality industry, with progressive leadership positions throughout their career.

Calvin Banks completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology at The University of Texas at Arlington from 1999 to 2003. Calvin then pursued a degree in Human Resource/Business Administration, earning a Master's degree from the University of Phoenix from 2007 to 2010. In 1998 and 1999, they attended Abilene Christian University for business studies. Calvin also obtained a certification as a Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT) from the American Hotel and Lodgings Educational Institute in October 2011.
