Omar Cruz

Omar Cruz, P. Eng., has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Omar started their career at CVG Carbonorca in 2004, where they specialized in aluminum industry projects and implemented continuous improvement methods. In 2012, they joined Tekalia Aéronautik as an NDT/Quality Analyst before moving to Argex Titanium Inc. as a Process Project Engineer. In this role, they focused on process optimization and the design and development of a new hydrometallurgical process. Since 2015, Omar has been working at PyroGenesis Canada Inc., first as a Senior Projects Manager and currently as the Project Management & Aluminum Operations Director. In their current role, they oversee various aspects of project management, resource allocation, system installation, and client interaction.

Omar Cruz, P.Eng. obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela in the years 1997 to 2003. Omar later pursued a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering (Tech Projects Management) from Polytechnique Montréal from 2012 to 2014.
