Interim Director, Head of Analytics at Q-State Biosciences

Steve Ryan has a diverse work experience in various fields. Steve started their career as a student in Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2007. Following that, they pursued their graduate studies at Emory University, where they worked as a Neuroscience Graduate Student in the Rainnie Neurophysiology lab. In this role, they focused on studying the development of limbic circuits and their impact on affective behavior. Continuing their work at Emory University, Steve became a Postdoctoral Fellow, where they designed and implemented experiments related to local neural circuitry in the basolateral amygdala. Steve'sresearch involved studying models of psychiatric disease in young animals and analyzing various data modalities including electrophysiological data, neuronal structure, and animal behavior.

In 2006, Steve also started their own music production company as a self-employed Sound Engineer and Producer. Steve provided tracking, editing, mixing, and live sound services to clients specializing in vocal music, particularly a cappella.

Currently, Steve is working at Q-State Biosciences.
