Ahon Sarkar

Ahon Sarkar is the General Manager of Q2's Helix organization, which empowers innovative companies to build personalized, empathetic banking products that serve over 10M people nationwide. As one of the pioneers in the “Banking as a Service” space, Ahon has led Q2's BaaS platform evolution and expansion in partnership with industry leaders like Credit Karma, Square, Betterment, Acorns, and Gusto. Together, they create modern banking products that expand their product ecosystem, delight their users, and catalyze a new era of human-centric finance.

Prior to joining the Q2 team, Ahon built Cambr at StoneCastle, a joint venture with Q2 that was the first BaaS offering in the US market. Before that, he ran special projects for the CEO and CIO of Bridgewater Associates (the world’s largest hedge fund) and founded a startup in the voice communications space while earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Throughout his career, he has worked in a variety of verticals — from nanochemistry to audio technology to, more recently, finance and fintech. Regardless of the industry, Ahon is passionate about building unique products that make a real difference to everyday people.
