Michael Willner's work experience includes various leadership roles in the telecommunications industry. Michael currently serves as Co-Chair of Forward Party and has been a Director since 2018. Michael is also the Chairman and CEO of Penthera Partners since 2012. In addition, they serve as Chairman of Q30 Innovations / Q30 Sports Canada from 2020. Previously, they were a Director at Digicel Group from 2015 to 2018. Michael was the President & CEO of GreatLand Connections, a cable company spinoff from Comcast, from 2014 to 2015. Before that, they were the CEO of Insight Communications from 1985 to 2012, leading the company's significant growth before its acquisition by Time Warner Cable. Michael also served as a Director at the NCTA, where they held various leadership roles, including two terms as Chairman and Chairman of CablePAC. Michael began their career as the COO of Vision Cable Communications from 1974 to 1985.
Michael Willner attended Fort Lee High School from 1967 to 1970, where they completed a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program. Following their high school education, they enrolled at Boston University from 1970 to 1974. There, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications.
