Malinda Macdonald

Malinda Macdonald has been working in the finance and accounting field since 1990. Malinda started their career at Ernst & Young as an Audit Manager, where they managed audits for companies such as Apple Computer, Seagate, AMD, Cirrus Logic, and Cardiometrics. In 2004, they began working part-time as an Audit Supervisor at Burr, Pilger & Mayer LLP, where they managed audits, reviews, and compilations, as well as the firm's quality control process. In 2011, they became a Controller Consultant for Montgomery Professional Services, where they developed formal accounting systems, budgets, forecasts, and cash management models for startup and early stage companies. In 2014, they began working at Aera Technology as the Senior Director of Finance/Corporate Controller, where they established a formal Corporate Finance and Accounting infrastructure and worked closely with the Board of Directors to build and implement strategic operational plans. In 2017, they began working at NVXL Technology, Inc. as the Corporate Controller and also launched their own consulting firm, Parity Consulting, Inc., where they served in interim corporate finance leadership roles with corporate clients. In 2019, they began working at LaunchFinance as the VP of Finance and also as a Financial Executive for Self Employed. Currently, they are the Sr. Director of Finance & Accounting at Q'Apel Medical, Inc.

Malinda Macdonald obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from San Jose State University between 1985 and 1989. In 2017, they obtained a Quickbooks Pro Advisor certification from QuickBooks Business Solutions. Additionally, they are a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.
