Patryk Pastewski

Patryk Pastewski has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Patryk most recently worked as a Senior Backend Developer at Qasa starting from June 2023. Prior to that, they were a Backend Engineer at Fishbrain from February 2021 to June 2023.

From March 2018 to February 2021, Patryk worked as a Software Engineer at Global App Testing. During this time, they developed a testing automation app using Ruby, Python, and Typescript. Patryk also worked closely with data scientists and implemented ML algorithms as Python microservices. Additionally, Patryk implemented data pipelines using message queues and AWS Lambda stream processing.

Before joining Global App Testing, Patryk was a Ruby Developer at Indoorway from June 2016 to March 2018. In this role, they were responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining core backend services. Patryk worked on various Ruby and Ruby on Rails applications, utilizing technologies such as PostgreSQL, PostGIS, Sidekiq, and RabbitMQ. Patryk also managed the AWS production infrastructure using Chef and Capistrano.

Prior to Indoorway, Patryk worked at DaftCode as a Ruby Developer from August 2014 to August 2015. During their time there, they developed Ruby on Rails and Sinatra based applications, designed and implemented REST APIs, and integrated multiple payments providers and marketing automation platforms. Patryk also contributed to creating open-source and internal Ruby gems.

Patryk's early work experience includes a role as a Full-stack Developer at Athletes Zone from January 2014 to August 2014. In this position, they developed the athletes.zone website from scratch using technologies like Ruby on Rails and React. Patryk was responsible for implementing new features, deploying code, and maintaining the production infrastructure.

Patryk Pastewski completed their undergraduate education from 2013 to 2017 at the Warsaw University of Technology. During this time, they obtained a degree in Inżynier (Inż.) with a field of study in Informatyka. In 2015 to 2016, they also had the opportunity to study at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where they pursued further studies in Informatyka, earning an additional Inżynier (Inż.) degree.
