Halil Sumerkan

Halil Sumerkan is an experienced professional in digital content production and foreign trade. Currently serving as the UK Digital Team Lead at TRT World since February 2018, Halil has held various roles including Deputy Producer, Assistant Producer, and Associate Producer, focusing on producing and editing social media videos for platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. Prior to this, Halil worked as a Foreign Trade Specialist at Hamidiye İstanbul, dealing with NATO and several countries across different regions. Halil's early career included internships at Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Demiryolları and İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi, where involvement in estate management and metro construction took place. Academically, Halil holds a Master of Arts in Digital and Interactive Storytelling from the University of Westminster and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf Üniversitesi, supplemented by studies at Bialystok University of Technology.
