Ahmar Azmi

Ahmar Azmi has extensive work experience in the banking industry. Ahmar is currently a Senior Executive Manager and Head of Internal Controls Management at Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), where they are responsible for driving a control culture and ensuring effective risk mitigation across all areas and functions of the bank. Prior to their current role, they worked at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank as a Senior Analyst and Unit Head, where they supervised and designed process flows, wrote policies and procedures, and developed operation manuals for various areas of the bank. Before that, they were an Operations Officer at Dubaibank, where they played a key role in setting up and launching the bank, designing and implementing various banking operations. Ahmar started their career at Citi as an operations supervisor, where they were responsible for clearing operations, funds transfer, and automation projects.
