Chris Welsch

Chris Welsch is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in employee benefits, ERISA, and tax matters. Currently serving as Senior Counsel at QBE North America since April 2019, Welsch focuses on benefits and payroll tax issues as well as treasury, investments, and finance matters. Prior roles include Counsel in employee benefits and corporate matters, Associate Attorney at Winston & Strawn LLP, and Associate at Ballard Spahr LLP, where Welsch specialized in executive compensation and retirement plans. Welsch's career began as an Associate in the Tax Advice and Controversy Client Service Group at Bryan Cave. Welsch holds a JD-LLM in Tax from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
